ok...since the car is B.A.R. approved, will it pass smog legally? because i heard from some guy who's also selling his EG but with a DOHC B18C1 swap in it says that the car won't pass smog legally even if it's B.A.R. approved.

the BAR approval sticker is the test by a state appointed station to confirm that everything is good to go and will pass smog just like a regular car. to smog this car, you go to ANY smog station and show them the sticker, they run the car just as the sticker designates. what your friend may have is a CARB sticker... because the BAR sticker is the SWAP sticker.

yes, that is what the sticker is on the doorpost (b pillar). if you look at the first 2 lines, you will see the sticker is for a 1993 honda civic, the second line is the engine info which is a 1994 acura 1.8. i have the original bar papers. the bar was actually only done a few months ago because the car was from alaska and my alaska tags didnt expire until the end of nov, so that is when i did it. according to california law, the car MUST pass smog when i sell it to you. if you want to buy it, i will run it on the dyno to give you an indication of its condition and pass the smog test for transfer of ownership. however, the fees are your responsibility on the smog, the dyno runs are on me. the smog test only costs 33 bux or something like that.
