v-tec lag??
I'm new to the preludes, i've had a civic si, and integra and i noticed that my integra seemed a little quicker than my sh. It seems like there is v-tec lag. Has anyone else expirenced this or am i just smoked out?
tobidashi ano chekaa furaggu te ni ireru...... yeah its in your mind, even a heavy a sh lude should be a lil faster then an integra excl. R. If u dont think its fast enouf do throw some mods on it.

you should swap out for b series vtec, its smaller and makes less power, but it spools faster so you have less lag. And make sure you add half a quart of vtec fluid to your oil so you don't fry the vtec bearings.
......man i thought you were serious until I got down to the second line
You have no idea what I was thinking - such bad words came to mind.
But yeah - you also have to check the caneuter valve also - if that doesn't work, the V-TECH will lag horribly. Also, try get get a 4" exhaust - it will help the V-TECH spool faster.

I can appriciate your opinions, it probly is just in my head. My integra was a 95 gs with lots of mods and it was quick as expletive, i raced i every day, maybe i'm not used to the lude yet. Bye the way my v-tec pulls like hell, it just seems like it takes a long time for rpms to get to 5400 were the monster v-tec comes alive, these must be high rpm cars. Thanks for your opinion.

I owned a 95 GS-R and now i own a 2000 lude base model. the GS-R def. was quicker than my current lude. i seem to notice that not only does the lude have more weight, but the gears are longer. my GS-R ran through 1st and 2nd like it was nothin. ive never driven an type R so i cant say much more....

stock for stock, same track, same time, same condtions, same driver, both cars are running strong the Prelude will barley beat a GSR but its mostly driver. The bb6 is faster than a DC2 TypeR from 0-40 mph after that the TypeR pulls farther and farther ahead of the lude.
