I just emailed SB tuning a pic of the rockers shaved down. Either way make sure you check clearances before you fire the motor.

I believe is was more than .030....the springs are +.060

I just shaved them down like the pic showed and checked clearances after they were installed.

We used a 1/4" pneumatic grinder.

No, its running, but not tuned so it hasnt been driven hard, just in and out of the shop for right now. A/F ratios go lean past 3500 with the present tune.

Just to throw this in there. I have Crower 3's with Eibach springs and Portflow retianers. Everything is fine for me, no grinding down anything.

right. The crower +60 spring/retainer kit requires this mod, not the cams.

yep, its the height of the retainer that messes it all up, i'll try to get a pic of a stock retainer vs. crower

So why did they make a taller retainer, when other companies can run the same size cams on stock height retainers?

maybe something to prevent the springs from binding? Personally I don't like mis matching springs/retainers/cams. If something fails the companies tend to point fingers at each other.
