Crank pulley removal question!!??? H22
trying to remove the crank pulley on my 97 lude is there anything i need to do before taking the bolt off??? does it have to be at TDC??? the motor? and all i need to do is hit it with the impact.
Search on how to break it loose, either honda pulley holder tool+breakover bar+ cheater bar or big *** impact gun. Lower cover isnt that hard to remove.
inches away from doing my tb at home on jack stands Iknow it's going to be a bitch but here's what i've heard, put a breaker bar on firmly against the concrete and bump the starter or buy the crank pulley holder and hope your strong enough. I have a compressor and I'm going to borrow a bad *** impact and try that first.I hope it doesn't fight me for hours. What do you guys think from you're experience should I just buy the tool to make sure that it's a smooth process.

i bought the tool mostly because i dont own any air tools, it made it pretty easy, wd40 the bolt the night before, let it sit overnight, used honda pulley tool , my 1/2 breakover bar+ 3 or 4ft cheater bar and it came off.

It's not connected with the timing belt in any way, just the acc. belts.....have fun.
