Default What brand/model headunit will work with dash controls AND have aux input on the face?

I really don't want to spend $200 (dension, neo ion, soundstage, etc) for a simple cable that will allow me to keep the stock radio. i would rather replace the entire headunit as long as the new radio has an aux input jack on the face of the unit for me to plug my ipod into (via headphone jack). I don't care about controlling the ipod through the headunit, but I do want the dash controls to work (I know the CH button won't skip tracks since the ipod isn't fully plugged into the system, but I'd like at least the dash volume control to work).

Can anyone recommend any good stereos? I'll need BRAND/MODEL.
Thanks!

Try Pioneer DEHP7700MP or the Premier Series DEHP770MP. I just got the 7700 and I still have to get the module to intigrate the remote dash buttons. The module is pretty much compatible with any head unit that has a wireless remote. You can also look at upper line Alpine. They are also compatible to Itunes, but they're a little more $$. The Pioneer runs from 269.00 to 315.00 and the module averages around 80.00. You can find the Module on S2K forum or at any local Car Toys or car stereo store.

teh head unit isnt really nesscessary, they have kits that are used for steering wheels with audio controls and thats what i used on mine.
i have a alpine 9853.....u can control the Ipod thru the head unit.
i think its a waste of $$ i jsut put it on shuffle adn call it a day...
