I drove my car the night before and had no issues. The next morning i go to start it and it just turns over but won't start. I checked the spark plugs and they are fine. Checked the plug wires for spark and each one is fine. Also checked the dizzy for water or oil and its completely dry. Both fuse boxes are fine with no bad fuses.

Still wanting to get to the problem i checked the ecu for CEL codes and i'm only throwing a code 10 ( IAT) which won't stop the car from running. Still anxious to get the car to do something i crank the car a few times but nothing happens. A few minutes of fidiling around and I try one more time...wow it starts. WTF is wrong tho? I left the car to warm up and idle for a bit, scared to turn it off. After about 10 minutes i shut it off and tried to restart. However, the car just cranks but nothing happens. I checked the fuel lines and they spew gas so the car is getting fuel. But the fuel pump is intermittent in turning on. That sound it makes when turn the key...well it only comes on every 1/50 tries. But it works 5 times after and then stops. I'm thinkin its electrical but where?

Can someone shed some light as to whats wrong. I'm thinking of replacing the fuel pump but why would it be slow to turn on and off.

BY THE WAY THE MOTOR IS A JDM D15B in a eg hb.

Sounds like the problem that i had with my car... check in the drivers footwell, the wire from the ignition to the fule pump runs down there, it may have snapped or been pulled loose when you got out of the car. took me 2 days to figure out why my fule pump wasnt working :D

 

Is the battery okay? I know it sounds pretty silly, but I've known people to have this type of issue with a weak battery in the cold; it'll have enough power to crank, but not start.

 

i know its not the battery since its relatively new. what does that fuel pump wire look like?
