Default A bit of noise when pressing down on the clutch

Ahrite, as of late, I have been getting this noise everytime I press down on the clutch. Sounds a bit squeaky. Is there a part of the shift cables that I can lube up using some white lithium grease? Would that be located underneath the car or in the engine bay?

Check your master and slave cylinders.

sounds like the release bearing fork in the trans. it tends to get dry where it pivots. you can try and pull off the boot and give it some lube. press and release clutch to work the lube in. sometimes it goes away completely, but in my case was only a temporary fix. unless you want to pull the trans and replace the fork. i just learned to live with it.

Ouch. In regards of it maybe being the master and slave cylinder. Is this a common problem? If I was to wait a week or so to get it replaced, would it hurt my car in any way?
