How much is a 92GSR worth?
Just wondering what my 1992 GSR is worth. Car has 140K but has been run on Mobil 1 forever and does not burn a drop of oil. Also, the tranny does not have any grinds and was not beaten(still on original clutch with plenty of life left, how many times do you hear that). The body is in nearly perfect condition (post pics if I had a scanner, perhaps I can borrow a digital camera). It does have some small problems. They are: windshield washers that dont work, needs a new A/C belt, and the temperature control **** broke and is stuck on cold. As far as mods its pretty basic: Thermal Catback, AEM Short Ram, Neuspeed Race Springs, KYB GR2 shocks, Pioneer CD player. Im going to sell the car very soon but I want to see what its worth. I know a lot of people say $2000-$3000 but I refuse to sell it for that. Maybe you can tell me if I am out of line...but good luck finding one that is nicer, especially considering there were less then 5000 of them 12 years ago. Thanks for any responses.
its gonna be in the 2-3 thousand dollar range. people wont pay higher than blue book, thats just the way it is. You may be able to sell it for more, it just depends on if you can find someone that wants it bad enough
look at kbb to see how much its worth in your area as it varies from place to place

Also realize that while mods cost a lot of money, they actually depreciate the value of your car. In most cases, a person would much rather buy your car and would be willing to spend more if it was completely stock.
G2 GSRs pull a premium. sure actual value may be 3000 or so but people will buy them for much more. lots of G2 GSRs go for like a 1000 bux more than a 94-95 GSR with similar milage. but crap for that i would start with a price like 4500 and definatly try to get over 4G for it...
I understand that many people want a stock car(I was one of them), but I don't consider what I have done modifications. I replaced the suspension because I had a broken shock, I replaced the exhaust because it had a hole, and I replaced the intake because I needed a new stock filter. Anyway, I know what you guys mean, hopefully I could post some pics because this car is mint compared with anything else I have seen around my area. BTW....KBB says the car is worth mid to hi $2gs for my zip code. I usually sell my cars for close to what I paid for them, sometimes more...and before this car and my beater 2nd gen I had I drove 2 Mustangs....Id hate to think that a Ford can outsell and outrun a Honda.

I was actually going to ask $4500. I had people arguing at the shop I used to rent over who was going to get to buy the car when I sold it, but there mainly losing there arguments with the bank it seems. Anyway, thanks for replyin to a "noob", I think I just wish I could afford to keep the car and buy a new one at the same time. Getting compliments driving a "$2000" car just isn;t doing it for me anymore and Im tired of working on cars, I just want something with a warranty at this point that is at least as quick and fun to drive.
Ending up just selling it for $4000 to a dealer near my parents house. Luckily the owner actually has one so he knows what they're actually worth.
that's not bad...did u have to sell it so quick? if u had time i woulda replaced some of the parts with stock. good deal tho...
