Default D16a1 Swap, The motor is in!! Mod List.

Just droped it in today and its sitting pretty! Here are a few pics.

Mods:

ENGINE

-MSD 6A IGN
-MSD Blaster 3 COIL
-MSD Dist Cap.
-NGK V Power Plugs
-Complete Rebuild
-ZC Cams
-B16 Injectors
-Ported Intake

SUSPENSION

-Weapon R Coilovers 500LB Springs
-Upgrade Motoring 27.5mm T bars
-ES Hyperflex Kit
-Custom Teg Rear Sway Bar
-Custom Traction Bar
-RPR Panhard Bar (Thanks Tom it works great)
-SSR Mesh Wheels (14x8) not the ones pictured
-Nitto Drag Radials

INTERIOR

-Tenzo R Seats (RED)
(Soon to have a full roll cage)

COOLING

-EG Dual Core Radiator.

FUEL

-8 Gallon Fuel Cell
-MSD Fuel Pump

thats nice, but why all this MSD crap.. Honda ignition has been known to hold up to 500hp... Also why the halfcore? are you planing on turbo?

That half core is also a dual core so it'll cool just as good if not better than the full size. Plus it's tight in that engine bay anyhow so if I can free up some extra room I will. Plus there might be a little forced induction in the future

nice man, is that the motor from the early teg? if so i was j/w if all your tranny bolts went in, i had a friend that had some wierd trouble j/w lemme know

i'm not sure if it's necessary, but i know it's a good idea to use the teg tranny. it's a lot beefier.

The only differences between d-series trannies is the gearing and spline counts (I'm counting flywheel/clutch as seperate entity). I would guess the teg trans would have better gearing. Regardless, its a fun engine. I had a teg with one in it, and it was only the [auto] trans that left a bad taste in my mouth.


Those rims are actually what I noticed 1st. Pimp that early-90's style with pride!

actually the stock tranny would not work with the d16.

looks good. is it a blacktop or did you paint the valve cover black? we are about to do a browntop swap on my friends 87 si

Yep, it's a stock 89 teggy motor that was rebuilt fresh. I did a complete change over from the 89 integra that I had.

2KTEG I got all of my tranny bolts to go in fine.
