Anyone have experience running Rocket Motorsports cam package in a JDM h22? Looking for 220-250 HP eventually. Bone stock H22, short ram intake, custom 2.5 in. exhaust, jdm headers, skunk2 p13 chipped ecu. Any help is appreciated.
THanks

Which cams? I wonder if you took time to search b/c I made a huge write up on his regrinds back in June/July.

A stock JDM H22 makes 200 to the crank. I eventually want 220-250. I know cams aren't going to get it there by themselves. But that is my overall goal. But I do want an aggressive cam.

Most everyone here talks wheel horsepower (whp).
With 20% Losses:............................With 15% Losses:
Crank...... Wheels
220.......... 176whp............................187whp
250......... 200whp.............................213whp
Your 220 to the crank are easily doable with simple strong boltons, and you *might* need to tuning. Even 200whp is doable with just boltons and good tuning on a JDM H22, but if you want to hit that 213whp mark, you will need at least cams, and maybe higher compression. I hit 205whp with Rocket's regrinds, boltons and tuning, there is no reason you couldn't make 210-220whp with a more aggressive cam setup.

200 whp is definately possible w/ stock internal jdm h22. i have made 215 whp w/ boltons: intake manifold, exhaust manifold, hondata tunning! added type s cams to that and made a little over 220 whp. ! s cams
You will probably want to change your compression at the same time you change the cams. Different cams achieve their optimal results with different compression ratios. Use too large of cams on low compression and your powerband will be shifted rather high up in the rpm range
