Default Crower stage 3

Does anybody know what is ment by head modifications necesary with these cams? We would like to run those cams in a D16z6 that will be daily driven but not beaten. How bad can it be for daily driving? The goal is to make some serius HP, at least for a D.

I have crower stage 1's in my D16z6. Head modications that are recomended are just some aftermarket valvesprings and retainers.

i believe what crower means is just modification as in head porting, etc.
The fact is that depending on the casting of your valve train, head, and camshaft. You will need to clerance the cam itself to spin freely. I did a write up on the install. When I put mine into my z6 it wouldnt spin all the way around. The back of the rockers were hitting the shafts and also, part of the core shift in the lobe hit the head... there are other things to watch out for as well, its all in the write up. Crower will swear up and donw that there are no issues, but i am not the first.. Aside from that its a killer profile.

Damn, again i have to register to a new formu. But i'll check your writeup later.
Is you car a race car only? What power did you make with those cams? What is your compression, i thought on getting the p29 pistons. That is supposed to put the compression at 12:1.

the car is a street car.
z6 with zc pistons 12:1comp
head is ported, injector slots filed, and is built with crower valve train and the crower 3 cam
im using a custom manifold with cbr itb's

its currently running with idle in the 13-14:1 range waiting for tuning
need to convert to obd1 first because of tip in enrichment issues im having with the obd0

as far as power from the cam. the people that i have seen with the camshaft all wound it out to close to 8k. That was on prety built motors at 12:1ish. I think if you got this cam in a stock bottom end, you would need a good path of airflow from start to finish, good tuning and some rpm, but it would boogie.

Funny thing is we're aiming for the same setup for a friends EG. Only not sure if we should go with ITB's or a costum designed IM. I don't like ITB's because i feel they will be sucking in warm air. Maybe we'll do something to the hood to solve this.
Did you keep the stock rods and bolts? Stock head bolts?

When are you getting tuned? Let me know what power you make, and what ET's to expect from such a setup.

Any dyno numbers? Care to elaborate on your setup?
Were the heads ported?
