brake swap vibration
ok so! did the integra brake swap into my crx today (steering knuckle, caliper, rotor off of ls, also swapped axles in from a DX) , car drives fantastic at high speed but when braking there is vibration in the wheels. brake pads are almost new i remember i had same problem on another car but forgot what it was. any ideas? is this an alignment issue because car feels completely smooth even at 60mph. by the way i highly recommend the swap, especially if you have an HF like me, makes a hUUUGe difference.
I would get new pads and rotors if you haven't already. You may not be able to see the difference but when braking it can vibrate. Also I would highly suggest getting the alignment.
Did you just do the 10.3" rotors? Or did you go the full monty up to the 11" rotors with ITR calipers like on my car?

The vibration could be from a couple of things. More than likely, warped rotors.
If you remove the rotor and try to have it turned, they can tell you if it is warped at that time. If so, replace alone with new pads.If you speak to anyone that has been in a car with warped rotors, they could probably tell you if that is your problem by riding alone with you
If you have done so much work to go through the up grade to the brakes (which I too agree it is great and a must) you should finish out the job and get a good set of rotors and pads. .
An alignment is going to be highly recommended.
The other thing that could be pad is tie rod ends or even ball joints. Most of the time, you will feel this causing a vibration more than just when braking, but it can only happen when braking too.
