Default How to get bastard cluster trim out of 01 Civic?

I've pulled many clusters from older Hondas/Acuras/imports in the past but this stupid bastard wont come out and I don't want to damage anything. I took the two screws out of the top inside of the trim, and removed the trim around the steering column. The top of the cluster trim will pull forward, but then it hits the two ***** in the cluster. I tried pulling on those but they didn't seem like they would come out without breaking. What's the trick to get the trim out?

you have to bend the trim a little but thats all just take out those two screws and it should come out no problem

Thanks for the replies. I'll give it a shot. Don't want to break it cuz it's my girlfriend's car.

now thinking back.... tape over a screwdriver blade, stick it under the bottom edge and pry up. I think I remember there being some glue. Once it goes the first time.... life is easy.
