I posted a couple of weeks ago that I had a h22a auto that would not downshift when I got on it. But then all of a sudden sunday night I drove it and it was downshifting perfectly. Later on that night when I started the car up again the car wouldn't downshift. ? Now each morning when I start my car it will downshift fine, it feels like it downshifts only when my transmission is cold. Anyone have any Ideas?

or did you say you already had it changed?

 

I have had it replaced, and the transmission rebuilt but it still didn't downshift.

hmm, it def has something to do with the ECU, fuel maps and maybe the o2 sensor?

i'm no ECU expert though so i could be way off.

 

try a new tranny computer, there fairly cheap on ebay

 

thanks, I dont think its the O2 sensor cause its brand new, and If it was the tranny computer why would it let the transmission downshift only when its cold/when I havent turned the car on for at least 10 hours?
