Default Exhaust Advice

I need to replace my catalytic converter ASAP, so I thought I would start upgrading with a hi-flow converter, but can I use an hi-flow converter with a stock exhaust? Also, what about an OEM converter with a catback? Or, do both systems have to be high performance? I own a '91 Integra 5-speed.

It doesn't have to be oem with oem and hi flow with a cat back exhaust.

Thanks man. I guess I'll start with an oem converter and a catback and upgrade from there.
