Default Preventing Theft

I was washing my car today and I saw a couple guys drive by in an old accord and check out my car then take off. They came back a second time, then drove off another way. Now tonight I have heard 3 times, someone with a loud exhaust drive right past my house and I live on the corner of a court. Im pretty worried so I took EVERYTHING out of my car, I unhooked my stereo sub and amp as well. Besides pulling the ecu out, is there anything else people would reccomend I do as a precaution?

I also parked it backwards at an angle in my driveway, with my dads car in the way if someone was to try and tow it out of the driveway.

personally i would load the 9mm and put the cell phone with 911 on speed dial.

Is the alarm on?? Maybe call the cops and report it see if they can run extra patrols in the area.

Ya, i'd be worried. I've had my car stolen, not fun. I assume you have an alarm? Also, motion sensor lighting in front of your house where you park it wouldn't hurt Thats a lil spendy but you cant be too safe. Good thing you took all your gear out, i'd have done the same thing. i'd say just make it as inconvenient as possible for them to get away with it. Like you said, use another car to block it in, get a club, arm your alarm, ****...take off a wheel and leave it on a jack stand at night =P That'll stop um...lotsa work but it'll keep you from gettin fugged over in the end

I wouldn't pull your shotgun out unless it works!
You can pull out the injector gang plug on the drivers side shock tower, underneath the hood. It is the plug that has the yellow/black wires leading to it with a gray cap. If they bring an ECU they still can't start your car without that plug. If they are thieves, I hope you catch them. Good Luck

Hmm that my be a problem. Here are six things to do at your own risk.
#1. Load up on those knives and camp out like a ninja!
#2. Borrow Bolivian scary *** killer monkey and throw it in teggy.
#3. Get some buddies over at your house to help scare them off.
#4. Make a highly radioactive m1000 and set it in street.
#5. Sorry for these gay *** ideas, Im hella bored

#6. Finally, fuel cut off switch, ignition kill switch, unplug spark plugs, re-route hood latch cable and just watch.

P.S. Not to hurt your feelings, but if a theif wants your car bad enough they will take it, or whatever they can.

put a warning label on the driver side window. "WARNING: Do not step on clutch pedal or sit on driver's seat".

cause you just rigged a 9mm handgun under the dash. u hooked up the trigger to ur clutch pedal with a fishing line. and when someone steps on it, bang!. right on the foot/ankle or shin.

then when he reaches for his injured foot, the spring loaded knife you hidden in the dirver side air bag pops out and slices him up good right in the forehead.

Like the other guy said dont pull a broken weapon. The way I was taught was never pull a weapon on someone unless you intend on KILLING them.
If it doesn't work leave it the hell alone. run out with a rusty steak knife or something. But yeah go with the injector plug, and hope for the best.

Good luck.

I am sure they do! How do you think they get the Integras, especially the GSR's & ITR's with the immobilizers! The thieves bring a OBDI or OBDIIA ECU with a jumper harness and then start the car up and drive away. There was a guy in the ITR board on here that saw his 00 or 01 ITR drive away. The only way they can start it up is with a different ECU unless they got a buddy to cut them a key with the immobilizer on it. Don't underestimate the thieves out there.

That plug works like a charm, the car will sound like it wants to start but the injectors will not work, and the car will not start. You have to unclip the plug off of the mounting bracket before you pull the cap off. You can even get another cap off of a wrecked integra and pull the metal piece off of it so it looks like it is installed. It all depends on how paranoid you are about keeping your car.

well if those are professionals they would probably have an extra battery and an ecu but this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW is an auto lock that you can put on your clutch or brakes, or maybe both . They would need some serious cutting equipment to get this off. and by the same you hear that buzzing saw. load up the shotty!

i would say alarm, the injector thing sounds pretty good, fuel cut off switch, pull the main relay, i def. know they will never get it to start without one cause when mine went bad i couldnt start my car, you could get a quick disconnect for the steering wheel and take that with you, they might have one with them but if they dont they cant steer the car. I saw an infomercial for something like the club but it goes on your clutch pedal, supposedly cant get it off without the key, no clutch means no start or gears. actually if anyone knows the name of that thing let me know cause i want one

hell yeah thats what im talkin about, i also found this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem it locks your shifter and ebrake, i think it would be kind of hard to tow it away if its in first and the ebrake is locked, your either gonna drag the rear tires, or expletive up the tranny trying to drag it backwards in first gear

had another link.. but i deleted from my favs.. if i find it ill post them for u.. it was more integra specific.. like how to prevent theives from popping your hood from the bottom (relocating the cable to the engine area) and popping open the doors (plastic tube covering one of the door metal bars).. oh ya you can buy the rear sedan door handles if you have an alarm with keyless entry and take out or the silver tap thing in the inside..

there's a company out there with a wireless motion sensor internet camera. that activates and takes pics of the theives when they first enter the car.. hmm.. dont remember the name.. but maybe do a search..
