NOOB question about stock airbox/intake tube
Im wanting to get rid of my password whale ***** intake for the stock airbox and stock tube. I have a b16 with a aebs intake manifold and stock throttle body. I hear that the intake arm to get is the 90-93 integra but will a 94+ intake tube work as well? I know the 94+ seems to have a different curve than the 90-93 tube. also is the dx airbox the same as the si airbox or do i also need the 90-93 intake box as well? thanks you guys..
here is a pic of the 94+integra intake tube...ok maybe not,,, 88-91 ef?

heres what i got now, i just think it may be a little bit too much..

oh anybody wanna trade their airbox for my password whale *****?

I'm actually partial to Dolphin ***** myself, but let's keep that under the table. I don't think it will fit perfectly, but never trying it myself I do not know. Can someone verify / deny?
my brother's DA integra (1991) has a SiR1 (obd-0) B16 with the b16's intake snorkel and it fits perfectly to his stock airbox, therefore, they are interchangable

From what i can recall, the jdm B16's rubber intake arm has a slightly larger opening (at the air box end) over the DA's stock one. I have both of those oem intakes in the garage...
With that said, it was probably a slightly loose fit when your bro mated the B16's intake arm to the DA box. If u were to do it the other way around (DA arm to jdm B16 air box) it would be a slightly tight fit. Also, the very first pic is of a 88-91 civic si intake arm, not 94+ teggy.
To answer your original ?, the dx and si air box's are the same. The DA intake arm can be used, but the length of it may be a problem. Trimming might be needed.
I will drag out both intakes again when im not lazy, lol, to double check.
The jdm B16 arm with matching box and k&n drop in is the best route if u wanna use oem stuff.

I thought using the jdm b16 airbox into an ef would not bolt down and was on top of the passenger side headlight. So can i use a jdm b16 tube and stock airbox?

I am able to get one bolt in to hold the box down and the box isn't loose at all. I use that exact set up when i smog my car, but I do have the EF9 front end. Would it fit in an all USDM car? I never tried it.
Jdm B16 tube with stock usdm box could work, but you will have a slightly loose fit at the box and tube mating (diameter of tube is larger than box opening diameter). I would go with a 90-93 teggy arm to the stock usdm box and trim whatever is needed.

I've heard that you can use the DA intake tubing and hook it up to the stock airbox, but not completely sure if you have to modify anything...........
