Can't pull out Driver's Side Axle

Default Can't pull out Driver's Side Axle

So i decided to start to work on my car. i tried taking out the dsa, woulnt budge so i got a flathead and tried to pry it out but it still wouldnt work. and now i think the cv boot broke or something( i think that's what it is.). all these grease is on it now. should i try to more force? i don't know so im here asking on HT.

get a small crowbar in between the tranny and the axle, then wack it with a small sledge hammer.

screwdrivers are not meant for prying ****, save your strength.

done stuck ones, always seems to work.

damn i think i tossed out my prybar couple of weeks ago, didnt think i would need it. =/ bad mistake. i'll look for something to get it out. thanks.

Get a pickle fork, they are under $10 at Sears.

Thanks guy, it came out. lol i used a hammer to prey it out. =]


and as for using a pickle fork ^^^^^^^^ i heard those mess up ur cv joint or something like that i fergot.

Well, you said the CV was broken, figured you would be replacing it. It shouldn't break anything if you are using it correctly to remove the axle from the tranny... are we talking about the same thing here?

The pickle fork messes up ball joint boots. Don't see how it would mess up an axle if you are using it to pry it apart.

But the pry bar would be the better method.

lmao i typed the wrong thing when i ment another i think. but i got the axle out. =]


i have another problem tho.

I THINK I LOST MY TRANSMISSION BOLTS! LOOK!






i think it's that one and the other one right by the front motor mount. =/ what should i do? LOL, buy new ones? or something
