it smokes really bad like those old *** pintoe cars lol.... ya its not spell right. Well back to the question... would any of you guys have a clue as to why this may be happening and possibly a way to help prevent it? I think its becuase im running on old oil becuase my screw is strip/tread on the oil pan is strip also. Another problem may be a header leak cuz the old owner broke 3 bolts into the block use to hold the header to the block. Anyway of getting those bolts out would help. I try that screw extractor thing but doesnt work **** keeps on breaking. Thanks guys, sorry for the long story.
what color is the smoke? check and see if your radiator have coolant/water. it might be the head gasket, but let us know. as far as the bolts to the header, try putting WD40. just a suggestion.
is the smoke black, white or have a white-bluish tint to it? only when accelerating? could be a multitude of things from a head gasket to your rings and so forth. it all depends on what color it is to determine where the problem lies.

unless the oil is getting onto the header, a valve cover gasket shouldnt cause smoking..
have you had to add oil? check the dipstick once a week to see if the oil level drops.. my bet is on the piston rings.. they might have been bad before the swap..
if the oil pan bolt is stripped, the oil prolly hasnt been changed for a while.. therefore it might be all gunked up!
another thing you should do is take the valve cover off.. check for a gunky-oil build up..
how is the acceleration? is it a lil sluggish? or normal?

ill try to take the cover off tommow to see if this build up... if there is what does that mean. acceleration is excellent. pulls on every gear. takes off like a champ. just smokes everyone on the road.... i mean lots of greayish/blackish smoke when i rev or step on it
greyish.. blackish... thats burning oil..
most people say it is blueish, but i think it is more along the line of grey..
sounds like you have bad piston rings.. dont be too rough on it, cuz you might lose compression in the cylinders.. then you would be SOL until it is rebuilt..
do whatever you can to get the pan bolt out... and chang that oil.. i dont think itll help.. but it is your only hope..
the rings go bad when the car overheats, or when it is starved from oil... in this case, it is more likely that it was starved..
edit: does the back end of your car get a black build up on it after driving it?
