Deck Height of B18a1 Vs. b16a2, height of b16 and b18 head
Sup,.
i already have this poted under tech/misc although i think i can get more input in thsi thread......
So i own a 2000 si, and im currently reading of horror stories about people not being able to close thier hood on certain engine set ups.
Well Damn it, i havea b18a1 block and b18gsr head that is going into my 2000 si. im using hasport motor mounts that are designed for this application, although i not yet have the engine mount brackets. The brackets im talking about connect the block to the engine mounts, which brackets should i be using in order to make this mount properly, i dont want to cut anyt of hte webbing unless its very necessary.
What is the deck height of the b18a1? b16a2?
Are all heads hte same height?
Input Please!

that motor will fit perfectly in with no hood clearence problems into an 00 SI, you see the hood clearence problems more in like b series Vtec in a CRX, like my friends 00 type r motor in his rex, after driving for about 200 miles the valve cover is all scratched up from the hood, as far as brackets use any 94 and up stock B-Series brackets, gsr, ls, b16, type r, will all work fine with no fitment issues....
