Default My Ground Control/Koni Setup

Well i just finished my car suspension a few weeks ago. I have ground control sleeves with koni yellow sport shocks on 17" wheels. The car is lowered about 1.5 inches. My front springs are 10" 450lb and my rear are 8" 325lb Eibachs. I orignally had the 325lb springs in the front but my car bottomed out way too easily. Thr 450lb springs have solved that problem. Even this low I havent bottomed out my car once in 2 weeks of driving. It's better than stock and lower too. I'm gonna try dropping it another 1/2" and see how it rides.

Basically this is my point:

If you are gonna lower you car more than 1.5 inches is suggest you get at least 400lb/in springs in the front. Some people think that's too stiff for a comfortable ride. I could prob still be comfortable at 500lb/in but not much more than that.

*** Please dont comment on the bumper gaps because people like to hit my car in parking lots and i need new bumers, and a new hood ***

I'm definetly lower than 1.5 inches, and i really don't bottom out with OTS spring rates.

Well i had problems with my initial 1.5" drop and i kept bottoming out with 325lb springs in the front. Maybe it was because my plastic inner fender well was warped. Oh well i'm happy now.

One way to fix your bottoming out is ground control top hats. They give an extra inch of suspension travel.

Im really glad you posted this. I have a 97 EX, and eventually getting some 17" wheels. Im stock now and wanted to lower about 1.5", but I could never find a car that would show the truth, but yours does. Is that the Eibach Pro-Kit for springs? I dont really need the adjustabilty as it will be enough off the ground for winter. Im thinkin the AGX, because the car will only be a daily driver and the Koni Yellows are not needed for this. Thanks for the pictures, it looks hot.

tuner7205 the springs came with the sleeves from ground contol. Yes they are Eibach springs but not a specific kit just for the springs. I bought my set from http://www.redshiftmotorsports...at=37

I'm riding with 340s in the front. I'm loving it and never bottom out.
