Is there a difference between wideangle and a fisheye lens?
I got a lens for my camera for x-mas and i asked for a fisheye, but ont he box and lens it says " super wide .42X AF" on it, but when i took soem pics it looks like a fisheye. So I am wondering if they are the same thing or if i am just mistaken or what. here is a sample pic i took my friend's kitchen to show an example. the first pic is w/o a lens and the 2nd is with it. let me know what kind of lens this looks like to you...

a true fisheye would display a full circle with 180 degrees full viewing angle in all directions.
true fisheyes are probably not favorable for most shots.
so what u got should be good for most wide angle shots.
