got a 88 hf crx shell w/ 89 crx si 1.6 engine w/ harness everything is wired and plugg in correctly but car doesnt seem to want to start !!! what am i doing wrong ??????? help me honda-tech

 

ground wire... check the 3, vavle cover to chassis, tranny to chassis to battery, and lastly, the ground on the wireharness on the radiator outlet (i think) on the block.

 

any codes? is the starter turning?

 

yepp everything is working correctly but dont understand why the car wont get any spark , all the grounds are connected hmmmm maybe its the wiring harness?????

 

check your grounds and vac lines, also make sure you dont have any plug wires mixed up, dont sweat it usually its something minor that causes all the problems.

 

i bet i know what the problem is.... its the distributor plug unless you kept the dist from the 88 hf. I would use the 88 hf harness with the 89 si engine. plug them in and it should run without a hitch. the problem is that the 88 hf dist wires have a different plug on it that doesn't accept the 89-91 hf/si distributors. I had to replug mine.

 

ya its your distubtor wires for sure. i had the same problem when i put a itr motor is my crx.
