Ok I want to reduce the amount my engine moves, I think my torque mounts are ragged so i think reinforcing them will give me the best result, but then i was also thinking of just doing all the mounts.

Heres the catch:
I am looking for reduced motor travel with as little chassis vibration as possible

so here are the choices:

Engine Mounts(R+L):

im using theses and they are really good.

 

inserts are no replacement for busted ***/old mounts... replace the mounts and do it irght

 

even if i replace it with a new oem one, wont they still be rubber aka weak aka lots of motr movement.

None of my mounts are borken or anything, worst case they are worn...

Im saying i dont want to shell out big $$ for oem replacements just to find out they dont do **** to help my problem....

general consensus is prothane tends to be a bit stiffer than es. They both cause vibrations but ES should be slightly less. My suggestion would be to use the es inserts on the ac and transmission side only and go from there. if it's still too much flex, add the rear and/or swap with prothanes.

 

cool good advice so your saying use the roque mounts inserts, see how it is, then if it still needs stiffening try the rear insert as well.

Im pretty sure its the torque mounts, they have 247k mi on them, i think i may just get new torque mounts and torque mount inserts as well.... does that sound like an ok plan?

not sure what the lifespan is on stock tmounts

 

Yes, I was referring to the torque mounts.
With 247k, definitely replace those mounts.

Some people are sensitive to noise/vibration/harshness. If you think you are one of those people, just replace the stock torque mounts and go from there. If you dont mind a little extra NVH, then by all means get the inserts.

The rear mount is usually the one to make the most difference since it sees all the front/back movement..

In my experience, I used the ES kit and only did the front two because I was lazy. Once I did the rear mount, it was night/day difference in acceleration. (virtually no wheel hop)

good info! ill replace my tmounts first since they are worn dead and i know they have a lot to do with controlling torque movement (thus "torque mount" )

But if the new tmounts dont fix it i will be getting the insert kit and it comes with inserts for both tmounts and the rear...
