after 5 long days of work..its finally done!..
JDM b16a head
B18a1 block



hoping to make good numbers on the dyno

i feel ya.....iam doing ls/vtec also in my 90 si but iam going w/the crv block..we will see what happens..

2000? and 300 for all the other small things, plus i have to get someone to wire me vtec! so everything 2300

so did you use used parts or spare parts that u had because i have only had to buy the head and shortblock and pistons and valve cover andheaders and its been that same amount man i need to budget lol

well i bought everything complete for 2000..motor, trans, ecu, etc..cOMPlete!..EVERYTHING!...300 was spent on the little things such as tools, alternator, haveing someone wired vtec? and making exhaust pipes!..so and so!..

quick note for the b20/ls vtec the sleeves in the b20 are weak. I was going to do it in mine as well but I hope it works out for you and I hope a sleeve dont break good luck.

Honda-tizech bs, b20 sleeves would be one of the last things to break in a factory honda parts build. I've only seen b20s break when people start throwing forged internals at them and hitting the 300+whp mark

is there a way to tell if Vtec is working? would check engine light come on if Vtec is not kicking at 6k...

i'm not sure for the reason of the cylinder walls being weak, but most people who have cracked the walls are because of high reving which the block isn't ment for. something to consider.

check engine light would come on. you should be able to feel if it kick in.

yea then? cause no check engine light is coming on, but i have a hard time feeling it change over?..too stock maybe?
