Default Head flow

Does anyone have a head that flows 300+ cfm on the intake side? If so who ported the head?

they have flowbenches on the site for each Honda.

I would imagine that the 1.9L Bseries they ran in the shootout flowed 300 cfm at max cam lift on those Crowers and the TWM ITB's having made 283 peak whp.

if you run the numbers, 300 cfm on a flowbench at 28 in. vacuum is about 307 hp or 261-270 whp (if you presume 12-15% drivetrain loss). You can squabble over the precision with the numbers for whatever reason but that's the ballpark reality check.

Dynamic and JG came pretty close to that 260 threshold and therefore their IM/head/cam combination were in the ballpark for that 300 cfm limit (i.e. their heads weren't the thing holding them back on the intake side...maybe burn and exhaust removal were?). Like anything else in engine building, it's what you're willing to trade to gain on one thing over the other. peak flow volume is all about peak hp and not always about powerband width or driveability. Secondly, wrt the trade-off bit, the better you increase your breathing, the more you give up on your burn. That's the see saw on that game.

As far as Kseries, Hseries and Fseries go, I'm sure other people can come up with their friends' flowbench but being not in the industry, this was the easy one to find on the net.
