1. there's no speed limiter.

2. you shouldn't rev past the factory rev limit unless you have the internals to back it up.

i doubt the ecu is limiting the top speed. it is more likely a aerodynamic limit. you don't have enough power to go faster.

Speed limiter on the stock p08 ecu is set for 115 mph, if that is indeed what he has. He might have a d15z1, in which case I dunno where it is.

there is a pro difter in an old EF, i saw that in honda tuner

and there is a limiter or 120mph in my EJ8, you get to 120 and it does something that makes you feel like you hit a wall then you are magically at 117ish.

but yeah how are you familiar with hondas if you don't know if your d15 has vtec? if you don't know that how do you expect to be able to chip your ECU?

i never saw that guy out of the magazine

but yeah it sounds like you are doing all this on the street, not the track. fine if you are building your motor for a track, but it deffinately doesn't sound like it. you won't hit the point where the governer kicks in on a strip, the fastest i ever got in my D16y8 (w/ vtec) was 98.3mph on the track.

so im guessing you are planning on this on the street. when you are doing twice the speed of other people, you are not putting your own life in jepordy, but the lives of everyone around you. in your car, in the cars around you what ever. what gives you the right to risk their lives?

yeah just go ahead and take the rev limiter off that 1.5 monster and you can easily take it up to about 12,000 rpms (sarcasm) who needs spoon when all you need to do is take off your rev limiter
