Default ramhorn questions? new guy

i asked this question in automotiveforums.com and they sent me to you guys, i just bought my first welder and am planning on making a ramhorn mani for practice and i am looking for info on what size piping, bend radiuses, gauge, and grade of steel i will need to use and where to get flanges (i read a post on hear about some .....racing somebody screwing a bunch of people over so i kinda want a reputable source) and if you guys know of any plans that are avalable online that i can use so i have more than just pictures to go by. i searched this site a little before posting and found some info on where to buy piping but didnt find much else of what i was looking for.

its kinda weird bein a noob again so any info or links you guys can give me would be apreciated. thanks

btw i have a 95 gsr and will be using a garett gt turbo with internal wg, i would like to go with an external wg but undecided about witch to go with at this point.

not a specific reply, but the book im readin, advanced engine technology : heinz heisler, has a section on this with all the formulas that you enter your details about the engine etc an it tells you the length and diameter, that is assuming, you are talking about ram charging......

what the heck? They don't sell steel pipes with sched 10, only 40 and 80....which mean making a mild steel mani will cost twice that of SS mani. I don't have gas on my welder right now so SS isn't an option for me...

Get gas. It would be cheaper than making a mild manifold if it really costs twice as much as a SS.

what is the order of welding the tube? i mean do you tack it together then weld it up or weld it as you go? which side do you start on? if it is tacked up can you get to all the joints?
