Default Hit & Runs are Cool...

So I'm in my house last night around 9:30 and I hear a loud car outside. My alarm goes off and so does the pager thats sitting by my door. I'm not extremely surprised because sometimes loud trucks set it off, but I still quickly throw my shoes on.

As I'm walking out my door I see an old busted Volvo station wagon driving away. I walk to my car and everything looks alright at first, but when I get around to the passenger side I see the damage. I run and jump in my car and practically V-ATTAKKED onto my main road in reverse. No sign of him, but I take off down the road and drive around for about 15 minutes looking. No sign of the POS, so I come back and call the police.

So now its time for a little bit of work. My freind has a body shop so its not too big of a deal, but I didnt plan on doing cosmetic work to my car for a little while. I'm thinking about using this as an excuse to get a JDM front. I'm thinking of driving up to Montreal and picking up a JDM front... I'm not sure.

Well here's the damage -

Thats sucks man.
I don't think its any reason to convert front ends.
Keep the USDM front and fix it.

I would just buy a OEM fender get it sprayed and bolt it on..and buff out the bumper scratches.. no need to go into that much work for just one Fender being damaged.. eh but its ur call...

The thing is, I wanted to get a JDM front eventually anyway. My stock headlights are foggy with condensation, and the front bumper and lip needed to be repainted as well because they're dull and have some cone marks on them If I could manage to pickup a JDM front in Canada for ~1300 then I'll probably go for it.

if you want to get a JDM front, then you should get JDM front. your front end looks pretty worn anyway. sorry to hear about the damage. those bastards! good luck!

JDM Front End! It's a sign!

That sucks though...can't believe the complete irresponsibility of some people. Probably was a teenage girl.

curious to know if any suspension damage was done, id imagine that when they hit the fender they would have hit the wheel too, and it looks like a hard hit.

For a slight fender bender you would dismantle a perfectly fine car for a "look" item?
not forgetting that removing the rad support is a whole bunch of cutting & welding.

to fix what is there now maybe $300., $400. tops.
to swap to jdm front end, well over $2,000.

Silly if you ask me.

and not silly as in funny/haha

Sorry about the damage, what a bastard hitting an R and driving away

I got a brand new conversion for sale for $2000 if you interested. I would be willing to meet half way to save on shipping. Just needs a front bumper

Sorry to see that. Keep driving around your neighborhood every few days looking for the car. Chances are that if he doesn't live there, he'll be back.
