usdm itr gauge problem....
recently have purchased a 01 itr gauge cluster to go into 01 gsr...in and out with no problem except for one....the mph speedo....now everything else is fine....temp gauge...gas gauge...rpm gauge and all lights except speedo....as soon as you turn on the car the needle will jump t0 20 mph ( stand still ) and I have not road test to see if it doesnt work at all....need help and opinions.......notice on my gsr cluster on the back near the bottom there is a blue ( denso ) chip??!!! but on the itr there is a same space for it but looks you dont need it there...could that be possible i need that or that has nothing to do with it???

diagnostic test that bad boy if you want to be a baller and give up $70 dollars. searching for this thread will give you info too. you will find like 111 threads. good luck man.
thanks for the help.....and the flames
already searched this before posting and already have checked the vss...didnt think you had to exchange the green film between usdm gauges even if they are the same year ...thought that was mostly between usdm>jdm clusters but will try when I get chance...going be a local performance shop tommorow to have it dig. to see if the speedo is bad....I want to have the "removing the needle" as my last option since I dont know how off this gauge is....but if any else has any ideas...greatly appricate it
