Default Throttle Body Discussion...

Hey guys

Well, i dont know about the rest of you, but lately in some threads, ive been getting this overall impression that h22's could use a larger throttle body, even if they are relatively stock. I dont recall the size, but i do remember reading/hearing that anything over 70mm is overkill. So, could a mild, we're talking i/GOOD H/e h22 benifit at all from a small increase in diameter of the throttle body? I dont recall the stock size, but anything under 70mm let's say? I would like your thoughts on this, because if there is some power to be had, then i might just decide to pick one up. Thanks.

it'll make more horsepower in the high-end, but you might end up losing a bit in the low/mid-range...

As long as you remember the throttle body is just one part of the entire intake system. If the TB is larger than the intake manifold's opening, it will do no good....
