if this is a F.A.Q. I need a link but i have a 95 gsr and theres an idle surge problem im giving up and goin to be replaceing the whole manifold...my buddy gave me a Civic SiR II intake manifold but it doesn't bolt up....what oem intake manifolds will fit my head..im trying to avoid spending a lot of money on a performance one, because if i go performance im gonna want a jun but i really dont wanna spend a grand rite now

 

uhh did you check all of the vacuum lines? I really doubt that manifold got cracked.

 

have you tried another IAC valve yet?

 

yea i replaced iac valve twice not sayin with brend new unit but i tried it.......so do you know any compadible manifolds

 

The only factory manifold that will work on a gs-r motor(1994+) is a gsr manifold(1994+).

 

well put... the bolt pattern on the 94+ gsr is unfortunately unique...i'd suggest going w/ an OEM replacement, they aren't hard to find in the classifieds, honda-acura.net has them as well...shop around...i got my LS manifold for 35 shipped... it will be a good temp replacement

 

If its surging then check the fast idle valve under the throttle body Thereshoud be 4 10mm bolts holding this in(cant remember there might be 3)Take the cylindrical thing off and take the 2 screws out of the end of it and screw the white thing down that surrounds the spring loaded nipple in the center.
