Default CRX VIS Carbon Hatch

Anyone have feed back on this? How is the quality and durability as well as looks?

I wonder how well everyting will transfer over without problem. Wonder if all the stock glass will work or if you have to get custom plex glass...

I saw one CRX here with that carbon hatch. The big glass fitted nicely. But he had problems with the small glass. I think if you search you can find the topic.

Merry Christmas everyone.

ok just so everybody knows, the CF hatch is literly like 2lbs lighter than the stock metal one, if your looking to drop weight, loose the glass not the support, the glass weights close to 35lbs

i saw one at a meet and the trim pieces apparently can't be put on. when i asked him about it he said he regretted buying it. weight saving, maybe 10lbs. cost of quality repaint once it starts fading 300. 500+100 for shipping and 300 to paint +900. that's imo a step back in getting to where you want your car to be at. unless you want a full carbon fiber crx, but be prepared to pay just as much for the fenders. best of fortune to you.

buying it from that guy off ebay w/ the $150 shipping cost is still cheaper than P.W JDM and they want 100+ for shipping

who and where are you getting your cf parts from? never had a problem with the vis hood i had and i was rockin it for about 3 years before it took a smack like a champ last month.

i agree, if you wanna lose weight get the FAL replacement windows for the quarters and rear glass. unfortunatly the cf hatches for us are more of a bling part. if you dont think so then go to the junk yard, find a rex and break the glass then lift the tailgate. or find one that has the glass out of it lol ( kinda fcuked up to break a perfect rear window lol )

i've got two in my garage. i'll weigh the cf hatch if someone will weigh a stock hatch w/out glass to compare. i'm not going to take the window out of the oem hatch, which is why i can't weigh it.

I cant really see these hatches being more than just for looks, cause ive lifted a crx hatch without the glass before and it was pretty light.. 75% of the weight of the rear hatch is just that window.. glass is heavy

I gotta say it would be very hot if paired with a CF Si-R wing.

P.s. Does anyone have a picture of one on there car?
