Default Wondering about you stock B16 guys

The guy next door to my place of work races a eg with a stock internal B16. It has door panels a dash, and GSR seats. No AC, PS, bumper supports, or sound deadening. The motor is a internally stock B16 (not Type R), with a DC race header, PVC intake pipe that goes to the pass headlight. The tranny is stock with a clutch. And all he runs for suspension is S2 coils, w/ stock shocks. And for rubber he runs 24x8.5x13" slicks on some funky rims, w/ spoon look a likes in the back. Down the 1/4 he's run a best of 13.0, with something like a 2.2 60'. I was wondering if anyone else runs comparable times. I don't have slips, but I have witnessed a couple 13.1 runs

dang thats a sick time...are you sure he's not boosted or spraying...i don't think on slicks i could reach that time...i have full interior but i make up for that with a Type R swap and bolt-ons....hmm good times..my best is 14.1 on a bad CEL...i'm sure a 13.8 is possible on street tires...i'm hoping for a 13.0 on slicks on motor...

He can click off a 13.3 in the 1/4.

I call bs 24x8.5 & only a 2.2 60' bsbsbsbs that means on a 1.6 or 1.8 it would make a 12 sec pass

Would be close to impossible run those times on a full stock B16 engine.

High 13s yes. 13 flats. No..

I've been in the car and have seen inder the hood. No boost, and not nitrous. I really don't care if you guys have a doubt of the times I saw him run. I know what I saw, and that's not the reason for this post. BTW I've seen similar hatches with B18C1s run 12.8s all day long.

yea but a 2.2 60' is bullshit it would have to be like a 1.7 60 to even think about 13.0 that would mean if he ran a 2.2 60' & ran a 13.0 he would run a high 12's with a lower 60' on a STOCK B16 IS BULLSHIT!!!!!

also if he gets a 2.2 60' hahahaha he's a moron I could get a 2.2 60' on street tires let alone running 24' slicks ON A STOCK B16

to get a 2.2 with a stock b16 with wahtever size slicks you're saying he's have to be spinning like crazy or something to have a time that slow. in addition to that, he must be hauling butt from then on out to click off that 13 flat. just doesnt make sense.

lol
all bs
13.0 with a 2.2 60 ft means the car is probaly traping 105-110 mph far from stock
sounds like a 220whp+ motor to me

or do you mean stock with a nice turbo kit

i believe the 24's are too big, so i have to see to believe it.

As far as a stock B16 goes, most aftermarket parts can hurt power, so you just have to find the right combo with tuning, intake length, and header.
