FS: 1993 Honda Del Sol *Nashville Tennessee*
Well, I have to say that I'm officially trying to get out of the import scene. I have been through 8 different Hondas since, and I have been really happy with all of them. I've just been through some hard times and some of it attributes to the wasting of money into the cars that I have owned and that has to stop. I'm 23 and I'm growing up so to speak as I try to finish out college and get on with my life. I have been getting things back into their proper perspective. So without further babbling this is what's for sale.
I recently bought this Honda Del Sol from a member on H-T last summer. I was the 15B7 1.5L Motor with a T3 turbokit, mainly pieces from SS Autochrome, and a stock exhaust, but running open downpipe. It has been really fun to drive getting close to 30MPG and having a sense of quickness to it. It all went downhill at first when the SSAutochrome manifold cracked on me and I had to start replacing parts. Since then it has went from it's quiet 6psi and dying turbo, to a Rebuilt XS Power T3 50 trim, with a KRB Fab Ramhorn manifold. I had the exhaust piping custom made to 2.75 Inch in diameter to lead to the
GT Pro Turndown Muffler welded in from an axle back. Every weld on this car is professionally done. No backyard ghetto setup here. The ramhorn manifold alone is worth more then a complete SS Autochrome turbokit. The current setup is running roughly 9 and 1/2 psi or 0.64 bar, which ever you read your boost in. Not to forget to add proper fuel in with the air, this setup also include DSM 450CC Injectors which this setup runs "CHROME" which was locally tuned with a wideband 02 by D-series.org's "shifty35" Ben Ness. it has every little part nicked out including smothing out the powerband and Two Step Full Throttle launch.
Giving relief from all that pressure is an HKS Super Sequential BOV. Maintaining spark with ZEX Spark plugs. Keeping the heat soak at bay with a Nextgear Intake Manifold Gasket. A blitz DCII turbo timer is installed right infront of the gauge cluster which also displays boost digitally in bar and an autometer Air/Fuel Ratio gauge replaces the driver side front vent. The Sol has also been professionally painted coming in the S2000 Silver Metallic Flavor. Black powdercoated HX wheels accent the paint perfectly and there is no window tint or any tampering of any other of the car's otherwise stock features. The suspension is Ground Control Coliovers with koni gas shocks. The brakes have been converted to the to 4 wheel disc also. There is a dampening system on it, but I haven't been able to find out where to get a key to adjust it. The auxillary lights have been stained yellow to give that "JDM" type of look and Silvania Silverstars occupy the headlights. The wing is not an ordinary wing. it came from a GSR Integra and fits perfectly. The engine has been fully broken down since and put back together with great care, so you can actually take that 180,000 marker as actually about 13,000 miles on this rebuilt engine. I'm not stupid and I know that a Del Sol this year with this many miles on the odometer would go for about $2,300 in the blue book , but what is expected of it is respectively no where close to what has actually been put into the car total. Bills need to be paid so I have to say bye bye. And I'm going to get myself something a little more grown up. Heat works for the winter and you can imagine that A/C will not fit, so it is not there, but it would have been nice. But why? This car has a targa top! Anyways the asking price is $6,000. PM me for any questions that you may have. Don't even attempt to lowball me. A lot of care and money went into this car and I'm a domestic person at heart honestly. I'm not here to waste your time so I don't expect mine to be wasted with stupid questions. Serious inquires will be responded to. I'm planning on finishing the reconditioning of the paint and the car has been maintained to this day. So it will be avaliable to be sold around the last week of January. it may be sooner depending on the situation and how much reconditioning I'm finished with by then. There is a little curb mark on the driver side front wheel which needs to be fixed with other little nitpicks that I want to get out of the way before I can feel comfortable selling it. This is a very small price to pay for such a fun little car. The Prelude in the back of the first picture was sold to H-T's "egcoupe93" so he can vouch for me honestly selling vehicles and making sure that both sides are happy. Quite frankly, I've sold a lot of stuff here on tech so don't expect to be scammed. You'll get what you pay for.
