ZC inquiry
i was just wondering if a zc is a direct bolt swap into a 1990 hatch. and out of curiosity, does anyone know wut ZC stands for? i cant find it anywhere. and oh yea, someone told me all ZC's are jspec, is it true? thanks
The JDM ZCs bolt right in. You will have to change a couple of wires in the plug for the dizzy(do a search) but thats it. You can use your old tranny to if you want. The motors from the 86-89 Integras wil NOT fit in your car so stay away from them.
You can get them at Hmotorsonline

It bolts in, but will require some minor wiring if your car is an Si, and a lot of wiring if your car is a DX or STD.

ZC doesn't stand for anything; it is the engine code name (i.e. D16A6, D15B2) that is stamped on the block.

Every engine stamped "ZC" is a JDM 1.6L D-series engine.
