Default type r manifold on type s

hey i have a 2006 type s k20z1 i bought the the type r manifold and put it on when i started the car it just revs it slef to 2g and turns off i thought i heard a vacum leak so i went back and checked everything made sure the manifold wasnt leaking and it was fine. and i heard something the other day about not being able to put the type r manifold on the type s is this true? and what do u think is wrong

maybe you need to have the type r reflash from hondata. im not sure, just puttin ideas out there.

The PRC mani will work with the Type-S. You dont even need a flash. it sounds like your TPS is stuck...Either that or your ECU is getting the wrong signals. Try regrounding the ECU onto the head. This has nothing to do with your ECU being flashed

i thought the k20z1 comes with a PRC IM already did you get the RBC mani? did the manifold you removed come stamped PRB or PRC?

BTW
PRB = 02-04 type s
PRC = ITR
RBC = accord type r /'06 si

the k20z1 comes with the PRB and i got the type r the PRC but the maifolds there sending out are coming off the 02-04 itr not the 05-06 and the TB changed for 02-04 to 05-06 so u have to use the 02-04 TB and it will work i did it and now it runs
