Hold the trip odometer reset button in and turn the ignition switch to on. Keep holding it for about 10 seconds until the light goes out.
Now the real questions.... Do you know WHY it turned on? When it turns on? What it means? What needs to or should have been done?

Ummm, no. That would be the CEL or MIL light, whatever you want to call it. The MRL is based purely on mileage accumulated since the last time it was reset and is totally unawre of the mechanicals of the car.
