Default Integra big brake upgrade for CRX

I bought a pair of integra calipers and went to check against the crx and found them to be identical.I then matched them to my 94 integra racecar and found them to be the same size -rotor ,piston, caliper.
Does any one out there know what integra brakes are bigger what size rotor ,piston size .I dont want type R ,cause then you have the 5 lug deal.
any help
Thanks
Marc

hi
you dont need 5 lug for a type r caliper swap.

get some itr calipers or prelude (bb1 bb2 is the type in germany)

then get some rotors at:
http://www.ebcbrakesdirect.com...2D%29#

they are 280mm and have 4 lug

the only thing you have to modify is that you cut something out of the holders.
because it looks like this:

done
280mm and 4 lug

you can also take the calipers from a ka7 legend or nsx. they have 2 pistons.

working on: ee8, ef8, ee9, ef9, eg6, eg9, eg2

The problem is that those european rotors come 25mm thick, the ITRs come 23mm thick, so the caliper bracket's throat isnt quite meant for it. If you go get the 25T bracket, then your ok.

take them to a machine shop and machine 3mm off of them... i'm sure they will still be in spec
edit: I think i may do this and do a writeup... i currently have GSR brakes in front and CRX Si disks in the rear and the braking power is incredible with Carbotech pads, i'm just afrid i'll be locking up my tires even more

my crx has GSR rears and DA fronts with stainless steel braided lines, Integra MC & BB & the 4040 prop valve. compared the my freinds crx with 5 lug and Itr brakes all around, with the same stuff as mine.....the stopping power feels about the same

well your not actually gaining stoping power it's just that the larger surface area will lower your stoping distance and improve your cooling which will inturn give you better fade resistance

There better. Larger caliper piston, larger pad.

90-01 Integras (not ITR) and 88-00 Civics with rear discs all take the same 9.5" rear disc and same brake pad, and except for I think the 90-93 GSR bushing, the trailing arm and everything is all the same.

using 90-91 civic 4dr EX front knuckles would the best way to get integra sized front brakes. it uses the same DA integra calipers which are popularly used for big brake swaps but the knuckle is nearly identical to the original crx/civic knuckle, except for the extra clearance for the larger rotor. thus no further suspension geometry affects.

i happen to have a set for sale.

you can also look at my limited database of brake parts and specs related to crx's.

Hi
I hope it´s okay to bring an old topic back..

I have a crx ee8. I bought some Prelude calipers, from the US Prelude 93 SI.
I think that should be the same as the german BB1 & BB2. My plan was to do as "crazySiR" But when i mount the calipers, there are not space for bigger rotors than 10,3" , with is standard on ee8. What have i done wrong? Do I need any adaptors?
