word. I painted some racing harts I used to have before, came out soooo good. No one could tell they were painted. I've done like 3 sets of my friends wheels bronze also: check em:
here's my old racing harts painted gun metal:

here's some of the other sets my friends and I have done:

just spend a few hours and do that, it'll come out good as long as you use dupli-color wheel paint and put some clear coat on if you want more of a factory finish.

step 1: take off wheels clean with degreaser and use one of those green grease cutting pads (this'll scuff them just a tad for the painting)
step 2: let them bitches dry..
step 3: use cards (business/w/e... I used my brothers magic cards before haha) and wedge them in between the tire and rim as below (unless you have a polished lip like the racing harts I had, you'll have to do a good job taping it off.) and spray like such:

step 4: paint the inside of each spoke/other had parts first, then the face of the wheel last. I did two thick coats, and when we used clear (only on my friends HX's) put one thick coat of clear on. Just follow the paint cans instructions.. its real easy, I suck at painting and they all came out good. Let em dry, throw them back on the car. done.
here's some more close ups: (p.s. these don't have clear coat on em.)

all 4 sets we've painted have had no chipping or flaking whatsoever after months of daily driving. Just make sure you clean them reallll good before painting and you'll be fine.
Hope this all helps, Goodluck!
