Default Need a Motor Machined?

i keep reading posts about how someone got screwed when they sent away there block or head to get re-done, and it comes back all f'd up or takes 2 years. so i think we all should post up good machine shops in your area. just incase some one is looking for a shop to do work. so i'll start.

All the honda/import shops in my area "Portland Oregon" use Lyons Technical Machining. a guy named frank owns/operates the business. i have never herd of him building a bad motor or messing anyones **** up. and all the shops in the area use him, and the guy who builds my motors swears by him, and has been working with him for 5+ years. the only complaint i've heard is there's always a long line to wait in to get your motor started on. which is ok as long as you know it all up front, and if he wasn't a busy guy i'd be asking questions. frank is good at letting you know there is a line, and he always has motors done when he says there gonna be done. the # for his shop is 503-430-5638.

any one else had great experiences with machine shops in your area's? if so please post

For all of my machine work I use the Baxter Auto Parts Machine Shop in Delta Park

The guys that do the work are extremely knowledgeable and do excellent work. They are also pretty reasonably priced and have a fast turn around time.

They ONLY do machine work though, no assembly.
