i need help, i dont pass smog because my EGR isnt working. rumor has it that the JDM P13 doesnt have EGR capability because EGR is an american function. my question is....
will an american GSR ecu work with my h22 as a temp. smog fix?
does anyone have a GSR ecu or P13 ecu that i can buy?

the jdm p13 has egr and it works too.

 

Naw...sounds like you have other issues. Have you checked if your EGR is hooked up correctly?

 

egr seems to be hooked up correctly. it was working fine before i got my swap last year. i can feel the solonoid clicking like its working... maybe its broken?

 

have you actually tested teh EGR system per the honda manual?

 

yeah, hooked up the pressure guage and everything. nothing was engaging... any other thoughts? the ground for the egr is at the ECU right, or does it connect to the frame?

 

EGR isn't grounded correctly. Review the Honda manual and follow the troubleshooter step by step.
