obd0-obd1 wiring help. (already searched)
i'm doing a obd0-ob1 conversion in a 91 civic for a friend with the jkobd jumper. its an obd1 motor and the harness is a 91 si harness. there's a couple of sensors that don't plug up. what other plugs do i have to convert...ex. tps, map? please help thanks.
Swap out the obd0 for obd1 plugs on the injectors and distributor.
You also need to delete the injector resistor box and wire in the 4wire o2 sensor.
Its been a while since I did the swap, but that's all I can remember.

im really confused about the tps and map sensor. cause on the obd0 harness theres only one of the (three wire) plug. i don't know where some of it goes to the obd1 motor.

The map sensor (obd0) is on the firewall. if you had a wiring diagram you'd know which is which by the colors..

Lets say you left all the wiring on your car UNTOUCHED.
To add an obd1 jumper
1. You install the jumper
2. Install the obd1 ecu.
3. You would need to install a obd1 distributor, do this by repinning it by color matching it, or finding some diagrams.
4. You CAN leave your stock injectors! This is what trips me out, People say no you must take out the resistor box. WRONG, you only need to take it out if you are changing to Obd1 Injectors . But if you are running your stock injectors, you can leave your resistor box untouched!
5. Wire in the new 4 wire heated o2 sensor
That should be it. you DO NOT need to touch the map or tps or ANYTHING, as long as it is wired the way it was from the factory you shouldnt worry about those sensors, they have nothing to do with obd conversions

If you have to guess, than you need wiring diagrams.

Did you swap in an obd1 motor also? If you did then theres going to be 2 coolant temp switches. Theres gonna be one with a 2 prong look alike plugs, that used to plug into this weird looking sensor. You have to cut that and wire it to the thermostat housing now. Thats where the sensor is to turn on and off your fans is. There should be yet another 2 wire sensor that plugs into the black of ur block which is also another temp signal i believe for your ecu itself
okay. everything plugs up now except the big plug on the driver side?? the harness dont plug up to the plug on the shock tower. is there a way i can convert the plug. the plug on the harness has 8 wires and the one on the car has about 12.
you're supposed to use the engine harness that comes with the chassis. that way there is never an issue of plugging in the engine harness into the chassis harness..
it's impossible to know what the heck you are doing without wiring diagrams.

take a picture of the plug that doesnt fit.

The stuff you'll need to change from your Si harness to OBD1:
-You'll have to add a OBD1 vtec section (solenoid plug and oil pressure switch plug)
-Convert your O2 sensor to a 4-wire OBD1/2 style
-Convert both distributor plugs....the 8-pin and the big ugly 2-pin
-Re-pin your TPS
-Change you're fan switch plug to a 2-pin OBD1 style
-Add a knock sensor plug
-Change your injectors to OBD1 style with the IAT exiting near the #1 cyl injector.
-Add IAB plug if it's a GSR engine
that's pretty much the meat of it....if you've got any more questions or it just is making you're head hurt and you want us to do it call us up 602.470.0065
i hope that helped a little bit:-/
