Default 2001 civic LX front bearings gone at 60K?????

I'm very surprised to see those go at 60K miles. All highway miles.
So, I'm just getting ready to change those. Any tips, tricks to get this change go smooth?
TIA

it seems to be far less of a hassle to just change the whole hub assembly rather than press the bearings in and out. The hub isn't too expensive.

Thats not a permanent fix, something is wrong with the car. I know people with 300k miles on their cars, the bearings have never been touched. was a hub removed and a stock bearing not replaced?
