What's an S2000 worth?
I've got a 2001 S2000 that I am considering selling, and I want to know what these cars sell for used... Mine has 1,850 miles, is Blk/blk and is completely stock. It is still a brand new car in every way, in fact I never even V-TEC'd the car untill 800 miles, what can I expect to get for it? Am I crazy to want more than 29,500 for it? I live in Philadelphia so maybe that might change the price due to the local market, but any ideas here?

Seriously with that many miles people are going to be hesitant to buy the car from you. You are lucky though because I am in the market for an s2k and just for you I will throw down 100 dollars on the table. Take it or leave it
Why would anyone be hesitant to buy it with that many miles? I bought it in June of 2001 and I have driven it on weekends since then, and I am ready for a change. It has Less that 2k miles, whats so bad about that???
Believe it or not, people will be worried that it's a lemon. I mean, how many people do you know sell their cars after only 2,000 miles of use... not very many. Also, since your car will be priced competitively against a new S2000, people will also be hesistant unless you give 'em a great deal. Just my 2 cents.
Man i woulden't settle for anyless then 31,000.oo .. I heard your supposed to baby the car for the first 1000 miles.. i bought mine with it already broken in and some mdos were done to it.. But you could probley get msrp for what yopu got cause i see alot of new S2000 marked way up above msrp..... goodluck and keep us posted...
BTW - are you moving up the chain like i have???

Well, you're not gonna get MSRP for it. Why would someone buy a used 2001 for MSRP when they can get a 2002 for MSRP? Maybe if you were in Cali but since you're in the northeast like me the demand isn't as strong. There was a used 2000 going for 26,900 locally here with 22k miles on it, it did sell pretty quick though. Granted, it had more miles and is older but that gives you a floor value. I'd guess you'd be able to get high 20's, probably close to 30 but not much more. There is a new 2001 with 3k worth of accessories at a local dealer with a price of 31,495 on it.
No offense man but you're gonna take a hit on it selling it so soon after buying it. Just the way cars are. The S2K is a great car but don't expect it to go up in value or even to keep it's MSRP value.

It is just like an ad I saw for a 95 NSX that my brother is interested in.
It is legit, clean carfax but only driven once a month, 5K miles and the oil has only been changed ONCE, three years ago.
It it probably still have a solid engine and it is all good but this is one of those cases where too little miles can raise questions/doubts.
