CHECK OIL LIGHT
can someone explain why it is that my check oil light always flashes on whenever i start the car. it will stay on for more than a brief second like all the others. even after i've added oil and even after i've gotten my oil changes, it still shows up. maybe it's kuz the vegas weather is so damn cold. kuz im use to LA i dunno please help guys thanks
Do you know where the sensor is on the car?
It's above and to the right of the oil filter. Check it to make sure the plug that goes onto the back of it is on tight.
It may be a bad sensor or a bad connection.

It's not an oil level light, it's an oil pressure light. Most likely this happens when the pump goes bad. Adding oil isn't going to have any effect on the pressure, unless there's none in the pan at all.
Hmmm...
Could be your oil pump.
Do you have an oil pressure gauge? It not, you might want to hook one up for a bit and make sure your oil pump is making enough pressure.
Oil pumps are pretty durable, but if the sensor is okay and you have plenty of oil, I don't know what else it would be.

AutoXer beat me to it!
