Worth The Money?
It seems that a car only looks nice when the paint job is really nice. I mean when i look at the looks of the car i pay attention to the paint job and not the bodykit itself. A really good paint job makes the car stand out but is it worth the money? I mean some people get some crappy paint job while others get some really nice ones. How do you know who does a good job at paintjobs? What should you be aware of when you pay someone to do the job and is it really worth it to spend around 800 to 1000 just to paint your car the color you want? I have a dark purple color 96 GSR but it seems to have lost the gloss in it, not so shiny anymore after i wash it because it is the original color. I am still debating whether i should get a new paint job, if it is worth it or not. SO who thinks it is worth the money or not?
It sounds to me like you just need to give it some tlc. What do you mean it's fading? Is just the clear coat scratched up? If I were you I would buy some swirl remover, buff out the swirl marks, then put some sealant over it. If that works then you just saved yourself a bunch of money.
Yes its worth it, a good paint job is like 3 grand+. If you want to know what a good paint job looks like, look at a brand new car. Also a good paint job has no drips, color is rich and real glossie.
you should always detail the car befor you decide to paint it, my teg is a 95 gsr and I detail it about every 4 months or so, its looks almost like its a new paint job when its clean, ive gotten comments on how nice my paint is and its nearly 11 years old! so get it detailed before you slap down that dough.
paint jobs are one of the biggest expressions of cars. Paint jobs are worth the money, there is alot of work that goes into it. You can get your car painted for cheap, but try not to have high standards.A good paint job will start at 3000, that's the average price pending where you go. Look at the work the painter does. Does he cut and buff all the dirt and orange peel. some do some don't. do your homework. the material they use is a huge factor, i'm a painter myself and i prefer clear that doesn't die back, and base that matches well and blends well. as a painter sometimes i cut corners cause sometime i charge to cheap, but i have to pay the bills, so pay the man well. You should get your car detailed, the shine should come back. Then if you don't like it start looking into it more. Happy holidays
