prelude won't start in cold
I did a search and nothing didn't really find what could be the cause. I'm down here in texas and doesn't really get that cold. But every once in awhile it would get down to low 30s. This morning it took me ten minutes to start my car. Only happen in the cold and didn't have this problem last year. I don't think it is my starter b/c it doesn't make the common clicking noises. In warmer climates the lude would start up like a champ. Also I have try just leaving the key on so the fuel pump would prime. Didn't make a difference. I would just keep going at it until it would start.
While trying to start I would feel the motor shake a little likes it about to start then not. But its not constant just intermitted(sp).
Anyone that could shine some light on my issue I thank you ahead of time.

When you try to start the car do you ever give it a little gas as you turn the key? It actually tells you what to do if your car wont start in the cold in the manual. At least if your car is a 5th gen.
what weight oil are you running? if it's getting to 30deg at night, you might want to consider running a colder weight oil...like 5w...
If you're in a hurry, and have someone handy, just have them push you to a start
(MT only).
My prelude has been starting ok at temps below -20C (-5F)... just takes a few more turns.
I'd give you a whole bunch of checks, but they are irrelevant if you're not below freezing point =\

I'd check spark plugs... you may be flooding the engine at the first few cranks during cold starts... this will cause you major headaches... and will take a while to drain.
If you think you've flooded the engine... (ie you might smell gasoline)... you can floor the gas while starting, it will minimize fuel injection, and allow the engine to get rid of the excess gasoline.
The trick of adding a bit of gas on a cold start is more of an old school thing from back in the carburetor days, it doesn't really apply to fuel injection systems afaik.

yeah keeps cranking and won't start after a good while. only when in cold. as far as my manual my wife losted it. i have push start it before and would fire right up. i'm running 10W30 motor oil.

I'd suggest switching to 5w30, then.
also, if you have an SRI/CAI, then it'll make it a littel harder to start because it'll be running very lean on start-up. Try turning your key to the acc position and waiting a couple of seconds for the fuel pump to prime before starting the car. That could help, too.
