Default DC5 Recaro Seats in an EK

the last mod i need to complete my car is some recaro seats. I was going to get the jdm srds but seem to like the new dc5 seats a lot. Has anyone put those into an ek?.... if any of you have some pics post them up i would really like to see them thanks a lot

IIRC you have to make custom rails...

and this should probably be in the 92-00 civic forum, since it is more tech than appearance...

PS. nice icon. i love utada

Yeah, to get RSX seats in a Civic correctly takes quite a bit of work actually. I remember there was a thread a guy made who had RSX cloth seats in his 96+ and it involved a bunch of cutting and welding, etc. I'm assuming the same would apply for DC5 Recaros.

If you're gonna spend the kind of money those seats cost, there are a bunch of nice seats Recaro makes that you don't see too much. I'm sure if you bought them new, Recaro would have the correct rails for them.

i dont think you need to use custom rails... unless USdm DC5 recaros are different to jdm versions...

my friend swaped out his CTR Recaros srII for later model DC5 SR5 recaros, bolted up to OEM ctr recaro rail with ease..

IMO looks better than the SR2 recaros

?

There's no such thing as USDM DC5 Recaros. Or do you mean he bought the same model seat as the DC5 gets and it bolted right up to his older Recaro SRD rails? That would be pretty interesting.

dammit...!!! just typed out a reply but the damm thing didnt fit...

um, i read in the reply above, that custom rails maybe needed, so i guessed there musta been a usdm model..

since there isnt, they will fit the older SR2 rails.. as the seat mounts are the same.
