Tokico Illumina adjustable dials
I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I lost like all four of the adjustable dials to adjust the stiffness of the Illuminas. I was wondering if anyone has a bunch that they don't need? I need the dial, the part that goes into the plastic piece. It's basically the part that you use a screwdriver with and turn it to your liking.
I have contacted Tokico many times and I've always spoken to the front desk who is a woman. I've asked her and she takes my info but never sends me the pieces. I've called well over three times and each time, she takes my info, and says she's going to send them but it never arrives. This has been going on for well over a year. I was wondering if anyone was generous enough and if they had a bunch lying around if they could send me some. Otherwise, if you have some for sale I could buy it too.

yah, weird that they never show up. i myself have received a whole set promptly and i know others have when they requested a new set.
honestly, all you need is one adjust tho. hmmm... i think i can send you one.

Just curious - do they require a payment for the set (for shipping or whatnot)? Reason I ask is because when I was modding the shocks, one slipped and it's top smashed into the concrete. The numbers 5 & 4 are gone, but works fine - just cosmetic.
I'm also debating if I should put stepper motors on the shocks, like the Tien EDFC-thing. The easiest way is to use the stock adjusters (I could try it if I had a spare set), drill them & sink the motor shaft in them. One other benifit from the stepper motors - hell of a lot more than 5 steps. IIRC, tokicos have ~300 degree swing, so depending on the motors, anywhere from 20 steps to 6000 (geared and half-step setting). The best thing - under $50 + some fab'ing, assuming you can guess their possition. A bit more (money/wiring) and you can use a nice 10-LED guage.

Why would you want more than 5 steps? or would you like the ease of in-cabin adjustability? I dont think you would be able to achive this with tokicos because they have the 'clicks' that set you into place. If you had a shock dyno I guess you could try to see if you can get another level between two of the preset settings. like a 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5,....ect.
Also, no they dont charge any shipping, you get them all for free. I got 4 dials, key chain adjuster that says tokico, and some stickers. yay, stickers.

From my understading of the way non-custom shocks adjust, it's just a bypass valve that you close, and it's primarly for the compression stroke. That would mean its just the internal notches or whatever that limit it to 5 settings. It it is a bypass valve, almost any design I can think of would mean that it would have a (for lack of a better word) fully analog setting, like the **** on a radio. When you turn an old radio's ****, it doesn't go from 90.1 to 90.2 to 90.3, it touches every frequency in between.
Anyways, don't think it's for bling factor, or super-fine adjustment. The cheap controller I'd use wouldn't make it easy to dial it in quickly with 6000 steps. The reason I want in-cabin adjustment is because of the roads here - they range from silky smooth to 'pray your teeth don't rattle out'. Granted I have stiff springs, I'd just like a $50 solution for the winter.
Now that i've taken over the thread, I'd like to thank you for input. The keychain adjuster sounds cool, along with the stickers - I never seem to get anything besides SUMMITRACING stickers
